Acceptable-Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-31
This Acceptable-Use Policy governs how you may use Sigrel. It applies in addition to our Terms of Service. By using Sigrel — and in particular by verifying or monitoring a domain — you agree to the terms below.
Monitor only what is yours
Sigrel is a personal and organisational security tool, not a surveillance or intelligence-gathering service. You may only add, verify, and monitor identifiers — emails, phone numbers, usernames, and domains — that belong to you or that you are explicitly authorised to monitor on behalf of their owner.
Domain monitoring requires proven authorisation
Domain reverse-search (and any capability built on it) reveals breach- and credential-exposure information for accounts associated with a domain. Because that information concerns other people, we require you to prove control of a domain — by publishing a DNS record we specify — before we will monitor it. You must not attempt to verify or monitor a domain you do not own or are not contractually authorised to protect (for example, an employer's, a competitor's, a former partner's, or any third party's domain). Verifying a domain is your attestation that you hold that authorisation.
Prohibited uses
- Stalking, harassing, surveilling, or building a profile of another person.
- Competitive intelligence or recruitment targeting against another organisation.
- Any use that violates applicable law or a third party's rights.
- Reselling, sublicensing, or sharing access in a way that circumvents per-account terms.
Monitoring and enforcement
We log domain verification attempts and domain searches for abuse-detection purposes. We may suspend or terminate access, without refund, for any use that violates this policy, and we cooperate with lawful requests where a use causes harm.
Enterprise & MSSP use
Organisations monitoring domains on behalf of clients (for example, managed security providers) must hold documented authorisation for each client domain and are subject to the additional terms of their Enterprise agreement.
Sigrel is operated by Stelviq Holdings LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.
